Hailing from Slovenia, this client operates a startup that manufactures game machine cabinets and offers related services, predominantly for casinos. In gaming consoles, the touch monitor plays a crucial role in enhancing the player’s experience. Consequently, it underscores the significance of choosing a high-quality touch monitor.

The customer’s previous touch monitor supplier was Korean, having no prior experience with Chinese suppliers, making them unfamiliar with the Chinese market. They found and contacted us because the price of the touch monitor provided by the Korean supplier was too high. Customizing a 43-inch touch display for this start-up poses challenges due to their price sensitivity and limited budget, alongside technical complexities.

  1. The customer put forward a demand for a 23.8-inch monitor without touch function and a 43-inch touch monitor. We analyzed their requirements and quoted.
  2. The first quotation does not meet the customer’s budget. We understand this and further provide a customized solution for the 43-inch front-light touch monitor according to the customer’s budget.
  3. Given our experience customizing 21.5-inch and 23.8-inch touch monitors for other clients, customizing the 23.8-inch monitor isn’t challenging. Despite lacking experience in customizing large 43-inch touch displays, we drew upon our expertise with smaller displays to successfully meet customer requirements.
  4. We extensively discussed enhancing the presentation of the 43-inch touch display on the game cabinet, proposing multiple solutions. The side lights of the touch monitor will be easily blocked by the cabinet. Due to not meeting requirements and high costs, we suggested using front-out lights, which can be vertically installed on the cabinet.

Product Problems and Solutions

Problems

  1. There was serious light leakage from the LED lights on the screen. Initially, engineers at Top One Tech proposed cutting a frame from a single acrylic board and inserting the display screen, but it resulted in visible gaps.
  2. Glue leakage occurs when the acrylic and the screen are attached

Bonding the touch screen and acrylic with glue results in glue leakage onto the touch screen’s surface, making it dirty and unsightly.

Solutions

1. Improve machining accuracy
They abandoned the previous method of bonding the entire acrylic frame, opting for precise CNC processing to cut it into four strips, splicing and bonding in a T-shaped way, so as to avoid cracks and no LED lights shine out.

2. Improve material performance
They increased the thickness of the acrylic by adding an additional 3mm, making it a total of 6mm thick. They resolved the problem of glue leakage by adding a notch to the acrylic before pasting the screen with glue.

3. Add assembly fixture
When installing the acrylic, they add a stable assembly fixture. Simply place the screen on the fixture, and the acrylic will automatically align, ensuring a firm, error-free attachment of the screen.

4. Optimize the assembly process
To ensure accuracy, they adjusted the assembly process. They reversed the order of installation, now placing acrylic and glass first, followed by the rear cover of the touch monitor. Efficiency and cost reduction were achieved by first installing acrylic and glass, followed by the rear cover of the touch display.

After making adjustments, the customer tested the sample and found it to be very satisfactory. They ultimately confirmed the order.
